The varsity competed in the Varsity Conference Meet at Southeast Polk on Saturday January 21st. All swam solid times and some even improved their seed times for the district meet! Junior Quinn Whinery went sub 50 seconds for the first time this season in the 100 Free. Freshman Caden Schroeder dropped from 5:39 to 5:27 in the 500 Free to improve his seed time for districts! Sophomore Cooper Ortega split a 51, his fastest of the season, in his leg of the 400 Free Relay! Freshman Davin Butler also continues to drop time swimming 26 seconds in the open 50 Free and dropping to a 1:11 in his 100 Breaststroke. Overall it was a decent meet, and now the team will prepare for the District Meet on Saturday February 4th in Fort Dodge.
